Randy McGilberry – President

Alabama Corrections Officers Association was established by Randy McGilberry and named as a true representative for the Corrections Officers based on a six month investigation of the Alabama prison system. The investigation began at 1:30 am on March 7, 2016. Randy was awakened by an official from St. Clair that notified him that his son (CO Seth McGilberry) had been stabbed by an inmate and was having emergency surgery in Birmingham. Since that day he has devoted hours of research and has done a deep dive to understand the real root cause for the incident. During this investigation (with the assistance of officers, reporters and Legislators) many deficiencies were uncovered and brought out to confirm the reports of previous management misconduct.

Further research shows two organizations that are on payroll deduction and very little to show for the hard earned money of those they represent.  Randy does not come from a military or law enforcement background. Randy does have a successful career in baseball reaching the Major Leagues. After baseball his career moved to Safety Management, Construction Management, Design, Project Management, Procurement and Facility Management. He is retired from ExxonMobil.
